COVID-19 situation has forced all of us into a new normal, which is to work from home and collaborate with team members, partners and customers online. At a company level as well as at an individual level, everyone is trying to be as productive as possible.
Continuous learning is a significant part of being productive. In recent times, we have seen industry conferences (DVCon, DAC etc.) convert to virtual, with more and more content available online.
At Synopsys, we have taken a similar path and have been increasing online content to help our customers keep pace with the latest updates and advancements in formal verification. As part of this initiative, we have made product videos available on SolvNet (accessible to VC Formal customers), recorded new webinars and we have our upcoming annual VC Formal SIG event in Asia-Pac as a virtual event!
Below are highlights of great webinars released in recent months:
- In March, Christopher Starr from Samsung Austin Research Center talked about why he switched from simulation based verification to formal based verification.
- In April, Iain Singleton from Synopsys presented a step-by-step approach to formal signoff.
- In May, Neelabja Dutta from Synopsys spoke about datapath verification for AI and processor designs.
- In June, we had various webinars in Japanese and Mandarin presented by Synopsys staff. Jun Ueda talked about auto extracted properties (AEP) in Japanese. Penny Yang presented on introduction to formal in Mandarin and then Makoto Sugie illustrated the benefits of Formal Coverage Analyzer App for faster coverage closure in Japanese.
- In July, Ashish Darbari from Axiomise and Xiaolin Chen from Synopsys presented on RISC-V formal verification for ISA compliance.
On July 21st, we are hosting our virtual VC Formal SIG (Special Interest Group) event in Asia-Pac. We will have excellent presentations from Intel, NXP, Qualcomm and Enflame.
