Duh. I like the name of this thread
Do you think that EDA standards can be exposed to open community via some public WIKI? Similar to Wikipedia? Then community would be able to participate on these standards more freely and openly …

I think it’s a very good idea. As a matter of fact, Synopsys pioneered open source standards for the EDA industry in May, 2000. These standards can be found at Synopsys’ TAP-in website.
Also, most EDA standards from formal organizations are open for everyone to participate in. A non-comprehensive list can be found at http://www.eda.org.
As social media becomes mainstream, EDA standards groups can take advantage of modern means for community involvement.
