HAPS Foldify creations, designed by an engineer, for engineers

Posted by Michael Posner on February 7th, 2014

Last week over a lunch break, rather than relaxing or even eating I decided to create some fun HAPS desk ornaments to brighten up my office. I had run across this nice little App called Foldify  http://www.foldifyapp.com/ It’s a great little app that enables you draw, create and paste images onto blank flat forms. You then print them out and fold them on the dotted lines. I then sent the ones I created to my team and management so they too could enjoy these desktop fun creations.

Here you can see the two that my boss put together.

I’m not known for my graphical design capabilities and based on the fact that I spent no more than 10 minutes creating these I have maintained my perfect track record. You have to admit though they are rather cute, especially the little HAPS monster figure.

Here is the download links of the PDF’s which you can print out and fold so you too can have the same great desktop creations. Once you have, send me a comment. If I get a good amount of interest I’ll design some more. Actually if you too have the Foldify app why don’t you create your own HAPS ones and send them to me to share with everyone.

If you’ve not caught on by now I am struggling with good technical content this week but be assured I’ll think of something before next week.

It snowed here (which I loved) other than the two hour commute home one evening. Again using my amazing graphical design skills I artistically modified my poor track car sitting in my drive way, enjoy

AARGH! I am now folding all sorts of shapes, I can’t stop. Wait, this new shape has inspired a new idea which shall change the world!

Isn’t that what this column is about, not technical but how to think outside the box, or HAPS in this case?
