Fast Tracking Debug

Last week’s blog was on hitting your milestones and I had communicated that FPGA-based prototyping is used to find design bugs. A follow on question was submitted which basically read “great so you have found a hardware bug but how do you track down the source of that bug?”

As it happens we just published a video on the subject. There is not a single answer for how to debug as it depends on what stage of the design you are at which then dictates what type of debug capability you should use. This video provides a good overview of the debug tool bag you have at your fingertips when using the HAPS systems and debug tools.

In your last project what as the most helpful debug capabilities?
